Using a pair of binoculars (7X50), I started scanning the horizon. The first binocular sighting was at 6:06 pm. At 6:27 pm, I might have seen the crescent by naked eye. Although in the right spot since it was not as distinct, I would not declare that as a definite naked eye sighting. I believe that a pair of younger eyes could have seen it. The crescent was very thin but not very difficult to spot. The horns were at 3:00 and 6:00 O'clock (3:00;4:30;6:00). Around 6:32 pm the moon was no longer clearly seen in a very dense haze about one degree above the horizon. I left the sighting location around 6:35 pm (moonset: 6:40 pm)."

I already had my camera pointing in the right direction so was fortunate to take a few quick photos (and a short video) before it disappeared from the screen. I also read the Masnoon duaa for sighting the moon (while taking the photos) as I was able to revive the Sunnah of Moon Sighting from the UK, Alhamdulillah"
